[Dual Side] A Gold Dusted Spring

$328.00

The arrangement of the flowers springing from beneath and branching out reminds me a great deal of the floral and motif style of the Tang dynasty. This is a piece with great tranquility and serenity, as in the muted colours. Yet it brings out the liveliness of spring with the accentuated reds.

This piece is exceptionally versatile and can be paired with a wide range of dresses and colours due to its subdued colours which is quintessential to the Asian sensibility of quiet luxury.

I paired it with a special Revolving Dragon’s Whiskers Tassel, which rose to popularity during the reign of Emperor Qianlong in the 17th century. Unlike the commercially available tassels in the mass market that are machine made, these are only possible to be made by hand. The end loops back to the top to ensure that it will never fray as the ends are never cut but twisted into shape.

As is typical of such understated pieces, you can admire it for a while and uncover things that you might not have uncovered on first sight such as the dusted gold that glitters ever so slightly under the changing light.
