The flower motif is iconic of the Tang dynasty period, and such motifs are also found in the Shosoin Repository in Nara Japan dating to the same period. This interesting motif was also found on the iconic 5-string Biwa/pipa in the Shosoin collection and bears a close resemblance of the LV logo. The story of the Japanese Kamon and its influence on the LV monogram will be explored in time, but this is a beautifully weaved piece bearing an iconic motif of East Asia.

This is a one of a kind slippers made from a piece of kimono obi fabric. The inside of the shoes are made of genuine swine leather which makes it extremely soft and comfortable for wearing.
Due to the preciousness of the material, we will be treating it with a layer of anti-water spray to better ensure its beauty and lustre with repeated wearing and for longer maintenance of the material. Please note that the protective layer will be worn out as with all normal wear and tear.
